Art and sound: Zipser's interactive exhibition in Berlin opens soon!

An exciting art event is coming! On Tuesday, November 25th, 2025, the exhibition “Hohenschönhauser Raumangeln” by the artist, who is known far beyond the borders of Berlin Pomona Zipser opened. The exhibition is from November 26th, 2025 to February 2nd, 2026studio in the HIGH HOUSEcan be seen at Zingster Str. 25 in Berlin and attracts visitors with a selection of Zipser's sculptural work.

What makes this exhibition so special? Zipser's sculptures are not only visual treats, but can also be experienced haptically. They consist of found wooden objects and invite you to play with gravity and explore the works. Admission is free, so everyone has the chance to immerse themselves in the creative world of Pomona Zipser.

A look at the artist

Pomona Katharina Zipser was born on June 28, 1958 in Sibiu, Romania and belongs to German nationality. Her roots lie with the Transylvanian Saxons and she grew up in an artist family. Her father, the sculptor Paul Zipser, and her mother, the painter Katharina Zipser, influenced her artistic career early on. In 1970 the family emigrated to Germany, and the move had a significant influence on their future careers.

After studying art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and the University of the Arts in Berlin, Zipser developed a unique style that includes abstract sculptures and spatial installations. She carried out numerous teaching activities and was an active member German Artists' Association. Her works are represented in renowned collections, including the Federal Ministry of the Interior in Berlin.

Supporting program and special events

Exciting events are also planned to mark the opening of the exhibition. A supporting program entitled “thinking through sound”, curated by Diego Moscoso, complements the visual impressions with musical performances. A highlight is the finissage on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 4:30 p.m., which will feature a captivating sound performance by Elena Zipser.

Visitors can also expect the performance “The inner self” by Julia Witas and Abigail Toll on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. A small fee of 5 euros (reduced 3 euros) is charged for this. The work “Close up Marx” by Justin Time (2023, 37 min) will be shown in the exhibition’s video room throughout the entire period.

The exhibition opening hours are Monday to Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (except public holidays), giving art lovers plenty of opportunity to explore the fascinating works.
