Part -time master in Data Science: Design the future with data!

Lüneburg, Deutschland - On June 2, 2025, a part-time master's program in Data Science, which is aimed at specialists and managers, starts at the Leuphana University. The aim of this program is to prepare the participants for data -based decisions and innovations. The study concept combines scientific theory with practical projects, which gives students the opportunity to bring in real questions from their work environment. The master's program includes three semesters and conveys extensive basic knowledge in the areas of machine learning, mathematics and statistics. The curriculum and focus of the study

The curriculum of the part -time master program aims to convey a safe and effective handling of data in the work environment to the participants. In the first year of studies, a solid foundation is laid in Data Science, which includes topics such as business analytics, artificial intelligence and the Python scripting language. After the first year, the students can choose a focus on one of the following specializations:

• Advanced Business Analytics: Optimization of processes with business intelligence.
• Advanced Data Analytics: Systematic Entering and Analysis of Large Data As well as the use of machine learning.
• Applied Artificial Intelligence: Development of algorithms and technologies for machine learning in companies.

The focus of the study is made after a discussion with the course management, whereby the corresponding modules can be occupied from the third semester. This gives the participants the opportunity to design their training individually and to match their professional needs.

In view of the increasing amounts of data in the professional and private context, the ability to process targeted data processing is becoming increasingly important. The Leuphana therefore also offers a one -semester training program in Data Analytics. This further training consists of three modules: applied statistics, programming with python and practical data analysis. Participants learn not only the basics of statistics, but also how they can apply this knowledge in practice. The accompaniment by experienced scientists and practitioners in presence and online events ensures a high standard of learning.
