Construction work on the drinking water supply: Berliner Allee affected!

In Werneuchen, extensive construction work on the drinking water supply in Berliner Allee will begin in September 2025. Stadtwerke Werneuchen GmbH informs that this work serves to renew the drinking water supply line and to connect the drinking water house connections. The entire project will be implemented in two construction phases to ensure security of supply over the coming years. Behind this comprehensive project is the need to ensure a reliable drinking water supply in the future. How barnim-aktuell.de reported, the traffic law order for construction to begin was issued on August 19, 2025, after a three-month processing time.

The construction work is as follows:

Construction phases in detail

  • Bauabschnitt 1:
    – Bereich: Rechte Seite Richtung Bad Freienwalde, von der Ecke Wegendorfer Straße bis Am Schloss.
    – Bauzeit: Vom 15. September 2025 bis 5. Dezember 2025.
    – Verkehrsführung: Einbahnstraße in Richtung Bad Freienwalde, mit tagesweisen Sperrungen der Zufahrten.
  • Bauabschnitt 2:
    – Bereich: Linke Seite Richtung Bad Freienwalde, von Am Schloss bis zum Ortsausgang Richtung Seefeld.
    – Bauzeit: Vom 20. Januar 2026 bis 30. Juni 2026.
    – Auch hier gilt eine Einbahnstraßenregelung mit tagesweisen Sperrungen der Zufahrten.

During the entire construction work, Berliner Allee will be a one-way street in the affected sections towards Bad Freienwalde. Detours will be clearly signposted to ensure traffic can continue to flow. All necessary information has already been passed on to residents and affected facilities such as hospitals, garbage collection and bus companies. The work is being carried out by the consortium of the companies Wilhelm Meyer GmbH & Co. KG and E.TEPE GmbH & Co. Liefertechnik KG.

It is crucial to keep the drinking water supply at a high standard at all times. The new requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance and the associated measures, such as those in the DVGW can be read, play an essential role. This regulation ensures that only tested treatment materials and disinfection processes are used to guarantee the quality of drinking water.

The population is asked to adapt to the upcoming changes and to follow the instructions of the municipal utility in order to promote smooth operations during the construction work.
