In Bernau, exciting innovations are coming to the skate and climbing facility on Gottlieb-Daimler-Straße. Since opening in 2018, the skate and climbing facility has established itself as an important contact point for the skate community. The required measures are varied and aim, among other things, to remove small stones from the edge beds in order to avoid falls. In addition, clear signage about the user group and possible uses of the facility is planned.

Planned improvements

Other demands include an expansion of the skate areas and a partial roofing of the facility to enable use even in bad weather. Visitors can also look forward to additional seating options, as the number of visitors is constantly increasing. Jan Bernatzki, parliamentary group leader, and city councilor Jan Heide strongly support these proposals and emphasize the social importance of the facility for the skate community in Bernau.

There are already numerous in the area around Bernau Skate parks, which are equipped with ramps, rails and half pipes. These not only offer a good opportunity to improve your skills, but also to learn new tricks. Skating is particularly popular among young people, which explains the additional need for improvements and upgrades. Skateboarding for youth

But it's not just in Bernau that something is happening for the skate community. There will be one in the nearby community of Issum on October 4th and 5th, 2023 Skateboard workshop instead of.
