Bernau: Skate and climbing facility becomes safer and more comfortable!
In Bernau, there are exciting innovations for the skate and climbing complex in Gottlieb-Daimler-Straße. The BVB / Freie voters faction has big plans to upgrade this popular meeting place for young people and adults. According to Bernau Live , security and comfort for users should be improved sustainably through an application in the city council.
Since its opening in 2018, the skate and climbing facility has established itself as an important point of contact for the skate community. Committed skaters have actively contributed to suggestions for improvement that have now been recorded in an official application. The required measures are diverse and strive for removal of small stones from the outer beds to avoid falls. In addition, a clear signage to the user group and uses of the system is planned.
planned improvements
The other claims include an expansion of the skate areas and partial roofing of the system in order to enable use even in bad weather. Visitors can also look forward to additional seating, as the number of visitors is steadily increasing. Jan Bernatzki, parliamentary group leader, and city councilor Jan Heide expressly support these proposals and emphasize the social importance of the facility for the skate community in Bernau.
In the area of Bernau there are already numerous Skateparks , which are equipped with ramps, rails and halfpipes. These not only offer a good way to improve your own skills, but also to learn new tricks. Skating is particularly popular with young people, which explains the additional need for improvements and revaluation. It is recommended to always drive with protective equipment such as a helmet and protector to avoid injuries.
skateboarding for the youth
But not only in Bernau is something going on for the skate community. In the nearby municipality of Issum, a skateboard- workshop take place on October 4 and 5. Children and adolescents between the ages of 8 and 16 can improve their skills in skateboarding under the guidance of experienced trainers. The event is free of charge and offers both meals and the required protective equipment. At the end of the workshop, the participants can even keep their board!
So it shows that there is great commitment to promoting skating in the region. With the planned revaluation in Bernau and the workshops in Issum, work is actively working on establishing the sport and giving children and young people the opportunity to live out their passion for skating.Details | |
