LeseKlang Hoffest in Bernau: art, music and exciting readings!

On Sunday, June 29, 2025, the Bernau City Library will be dedicated to literature, art and music. The LeseKlang Hoffest promises a colorful and varied program for the whole family. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., visitors will get their money's worth at the Kulturhof Breitscheidstraße 43.

The Hoffest is not only a great opportunity to get to know new literary works, but also a place for creativity and encounters. Among other things, there will be hourly readings for adults and children, with authors such as:Peggy Langhans,Doreen MechsnerandDr. Ulrike Gillertwill present their latest works. From the reading “Coffee at the Edge of the Pool” to the reading concert “25 Last Summer” byStephen Schäfer– there is something for every interest.

Children's program and workshops

Parents can particularly look forward to the children's program. It starts with a children's show at 11 a.m. about “Freddy and Flo aren't scared,” followed by a reading and an entertaining comic workshop at 1 p.m., led by Christian Bartz. Here, little visitors aged 9 and over can live out their creative skills. At 4 p.m. there will be a writing workshop for children ages 8 and up, led by Nathalie Groß. Registration for the children's workshops is required and can be done directly at the city library or by email.

The entire children's program includes a range of entertaining readings that will stimulate the imagination. The stories ofStefanie SteenkenandNathalie Großoffer an excellent opportunity to get children excited about reading. The events are all free of charge and promise an exciting day for the youngest people in the audience.

Art and cuisine

But it's not just the written word that has its place LeseKlang Hoffest. Regional artists impressed with their handmade works, from watercolors to drawings to jewelry. Visitors can also get creative themselves. This is an excellent opportunity to show off your talent for art and maybe even pick up a souvenir or two.

Physical well-being is also taken care of: the organic store Grünbär Naturkost and Momos Waffels are ready to spoil guests with delicious offerings. The Hoffest not only establishes contact between authors and readers, but also promotes networking within the literary community.
