Liberal Summer Reception: Focus on Education – Be there in Eberswalde!
An exciting political event is just around the corner, which will take place in Eberswalde. On July 18, 2025, citizens have the opportunity to take part in the joint “Liberal Summer Reception” of the FDP Barnim and the FDP Uckermark. The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. in the Familiengarten Tourism Center, Am Alten Walzwerk 1. The aim of the event is to exchange ideas about the current political challenges for the region, Brandenburg and Germany. An important topic will be education policy, which is seen as the key to equal opportunities, social participation and economic success. This reports Barnim Current.
The two FDP district chairmen, Ivo Smolak from Uckermark and Martin Hoeck from Barnim, are inviting guests with a clear focus on education policy, where top-class guests are also expected. The state chairman of the FDP Brandenburg, Zyon Braun, will give a welcoming speech under the motto "Secure education. Shape the future. - Quality needs smart minds - not cuts!" an interesting discussion will take place. Participants in this round of discussions include FDP education politician Ralf Tiedemann, the chairwoman of the state parent council Ulrike Mauersberger and the Eberswalde SPD member of the state parliament Kurt Fischer.
Political exchange and other events
But that's not all! Another exciting event is also coming up in the near future. Another Liberal Summer Reception will take place in the same location on September 3, 2024. This is organized by the FDP district association Barnim and the FDP local association Eberswalde. Bijan Djir-Sarai, the FDP general secretary and member of the Bundestag, will appear as the keynote speaker. From 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. there will also be a lively exchange about political topics and challenges. Anyone interested is warmly invited to contribute their thoughts and ideas!
