Pure hiking action: HIKING HERO inspires on June 28th in Werneuchen!
On June 28, 2025 it's that time again: the third edition of the HIKING HERO is just around the corner and promises an exciting event for all hiking enthusiasts. This year the 44 kilometer long route will lead through the picturesque Barnimer Feldmark, which stretches from Bernau via Tempelfelde and Schönfeld to Werneuchen. Then we continue to Löhme, Börnicke and back to Bernau. A real adventure awaits the participants, who will be sent into the race from 7:30 a.m. - with a wave start every 10 minutes, as Visit Berlin informs.
The event promises not only a physical challenge, but also a happy atmosphere with a touch of marathon feeling. Applause and joy await the hikers at the finish line if they successfully overcome the challenge. Support is provided by numerous volunteers, including the children of the Altstadtspatzen daycare center, who are very committed to helping with the decoration and preparation, as Barnim Aktuell reports.
