A look at the log house: tradition meets modern sustainability in ditches!

What an exciting excursion! Visitors recently had the opportunity to dive deep into the world of log house building and were able to get to know the philosophy of a traditional craft business. Albrecht Blockhaus GmbH in Gräben proves to be a pioneer in the art of blockage building, specializing in individual unique pieces made of solid wood. The reception by the foreman "Mecki" was warm and informative, because he presented the sustainable production of the log houses clearly and exciting. Many analysis tools were also used to give visitors a practical insight. Visitors were able to try out the Schäleisen themselves and learned how tree trunks are caught by hand. This is done with the help of a historic gate saw that dates from 1954, as well as an even older gate from 1903.

The short practical exercises and the then explained connection of the wooden trunks in the "Full Skrib" style fascinated the participants. It is completely dispensed with nails or metal connectors, which makes the construction not only aesthetic, but also functional. When asked how long it takes to create a complete log house, Mecki replied that this would take several months - and all directly on the site to guarantee maximum fit.

ecological advantages of blockage building

The trend towards block and wooden houses is becoming increasingly popular in Germany. According to an overview on Holz-haus-bau.de, it can be seen that this construction is not only rustic, but also sustainable. Lobhouses store CO2 and regulate the indoor climate in a natural way. Sustainability has become a central topic in construction in recent years, and many people wonder how they can live more environmentally friendly and resource -saving. Block houses make a valuable contribution here, since wood offers excellent insulation and thus saves heating energy. The use of modern assembly techniques ensures that these advantages are reinforced.

In addition, wood also has health benefits. It regulates the air moisture and improves the living climate, which is particularly important for people with allergies. These natural properties are particularly observed at Albrecht Blockhaus, and the use of sustainable raw materials underlines the commitment to the environment and quality.

The renaissance of the wooden house

Another aspect that should not remain undefined is the renaissance of the wooden house, as is found on blockhaus-finnholz.de. More and more people are focusing on the health and aesthetic advantages of timber buildings. This construction promotes a feeling of home and security. Modern technologies also find their place here. For example, photovoltaic systems can be integrated into log houses in order to further increase energy efficiency.

Overall, block and wooden houses are an interesting option for all those who want to incorporate their commitment to sustainability and environmental protection into their home. The cultural and architectural possibilities of this construction offer the opportunity to reconcile tradition and modern design.

A big thank you goes to the teacher Ms. Zindl and Albrecht Blockhaus GmbH for this exciting insight into the world of craft. In view of the well thought -out manufacturing processes and sustainable approach, it definitely makes sense to think about the construction of a log house. It is not only an investment in your own well -being, but also a step into a more environmentally friendly future.
