A festival of music and magic: Open day at the Brandenburg Theater!

On June 21, 2025 the time has come: The Brandenburg Theater opens its doors and welcomes all curious and culture-loving people to a colorful open day. From 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the experience at Grabenstrasse 14 and in the adjacent Theaterpark is a priority. The focus is particularly on the inauguration of the “Music Stones”, a creative citizen project that was created in collaboration with sculptor Raphael Dank. These four concrete sculptures, which represent musical instruments, were realized with a budget of 25,000 euros from the participatory budget and promise to make the theater environment shine in new splendor.

The entire program from 2 p.m. offers a variety of activities for the whole family. The plan includes, among other things, a craft corner, cotton candy sales, fairy tale readings and face painting. A special highlight is the public dress rehearsal of the Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra at 3:00 p.m., which is already causing great anticipation. Intendant Dr. Alexander Busche as well as chief conductor Andreas Spering and chief dramaturge Carola Söllner will present the upcoming productions for the next season in a presentation at 4 p.m.

A festival for young and old

The event is part of the Havelfest and the Fête de la Musique, which further enriches the day. Anyone looking for a creative break can have fun in the craft corner or with face painting, and for selfies there is a photo corner where visitors can have their photo taken in costumes. From 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., a very special cotton candy stand will delight little taste buds.
