Creative holiday program: imagination and art for all age groups!
In the middle of the summer vacation, the Brandenburg adult education center opens a creative program that attracts children, young people and adults. From 4th to August 8th, the institution offers a free holiday week entitled "Go and Stay", which is aimed at children from the age of eight. In addition to the possibility of discovering new talents, the participants can expect an exciting start with an interactive tour of the special exhibition "Hin and Weg" in the city museum. Here the museum becomes an open space for imagination and creative expression for five days.
The varied program includes activities such as theater, art and stories. In order to support the creative development of the participants, a warm lunch is provided every day. This holistic concept is made through the federal program "Culture makes strong!" promoted that aims to strengthen cultural education in Germany, as the parity.
creativity and encounter
On August 13th, all art enthusiasts are invited to take part in a creative workshop for the exhibition "Pay". Here, both children and adults can let their creativity run free and create an artistic collage after the tour. In addition, the adult education center offers a number of exciting creative courses for different age groups during the first week of vacation, from July 29th to 31st. This includes a compact course "Sewing with the sewing machine" for children from the age of seven and the "crazy critters" for adults and children from the age of eight to stimulate the imagination.
In another initiative, a short film project under the title "Democracy in everyday life" for young people from the age of 11 will be carried out in another initiative. Here the young filmmakers have the chance to develop their ideas, write scripts and make short films. As Das BMBF emphasizes, cultural education promotes an examination of art and culture and offers children and adolescents with little access to valuable educational and participation.
variety of offers and support
The project "Culture makes strong. Alliances for education" has been funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research since 2013 and has now become an important part of cultural education in Germany. Every year, up to 50 million euros in funding are provided to implement extra -curricular projects such as summer vacation offers. Participation in these projects has already achieved 1.5 million children and adolescents, which shows how important such initiatives are for personal development and social integration.
Registration for the individual events takes place via the website of the adult education center. Interested parties reach the VHS at www.vhs-brandenburg.de or visit the address upstallstrasse 25, 14772 Brandenburg an der Havel for more information.
