Cultural highlight: Open day at the Brandenburg Theater!
This will load on Saturday, June 21, 2025 Brandenburg Theater from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for an unforgettable open day. This event takes place as part of the Havelfest and the Fête de la Musique and promises numerous activities for the entire family. Not only is curiosity aroused here, people interested in culture also get their money's worth.
The start of the varied program begins at 2 p.m. with the ceremonial inauguration of the “Music Stones” in the Theater Park. These four concrete sculptures, which represent various musical instruments, are part of a citizens' project and were implemented by the sculptor Raphael Dank under the idea of Prof. Birgit Didczuneit-Sandhop. Using a QR code, visitors can find out more about the instruments while musicians from the Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra present their sounds.
A variety of activities for young and old
The program has many highlights, including the popular craft corner and the cotton candy sale, which are particularly popular with the little ones. The fairy tale reading “The Olf Doesn't Stink Anymore” by Katha Seyffert will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Fontane Room, while the public dress rehearsals of the Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra will take place at the same time in the Great House.
You can venture behind the scenes of the theater at 2:30 p.m. with director Benjamin Berger. For everyone who wants to find out more about the coming season, there will be a performance by the director Dr. Alexander Busche as well as the chief conductor Andreas Spering and the chief dramaturge Carola Söllner.
Music and entertainment until the evening hours
The musical performances are also the focus of the afternoon. A quartet for English horn and string trio will be performed at 6 p.m., followed by an excerpt from “Wie im Himmel” from the BT Bürgerbühne. The crowning finale will be the indie rockers Hallam London at 7 p.m. and an excerpt from the musical “Mantra Mia” at 8 p.m. – all on the open-air stage in the Theater Park.
Admission to this colorful event is free, which gives everyone interested, families and theater lovers the opportunity to spend an exciting day in the Brandenburg Theater. Of course, the program is subject to change, but the anticipation of an exciting day is already certain.
