The quartet impressively prevailed against 15 other ensembles and will now compete in the final competition at the Chemnitz Opera on November 22nd against the overall winners from Saxony-Anhalt and Saxony. According to Wochenkurier, the young musicians have laid the foundation for a promising career.

But it wasn't just the “Los Guitarros” who were able to score points with their performance. In age group II, the duo “Die Spreelinge”, consisting of Gustav Oliver Schenck (horn) and Jonathan Schreibner (piano), also won big and achieved first place. With more than 30 categories and a pyramid-like structure, the competition promotes various musical talents and ensures that both grassroots support and the top performers in the music scene are recognized. The participants must belong to a certain age group and can only take part as soloists every three years; in between they can play in different ensemble constellations.
