Cottbus music student triumphs at the state competition in Lübben!

Cottbus, Deutschland - In Lübben, a musical highlight was set last weekend, which met with great interest in the Cottbus music schools. Under the motto "Music from municipalities" the state competition Brandenburg took place, in which the talented guitar quartet "Los Gitarreros", consisting of Elias Otto, Bruno Kaufmann, Janne Prüß and Leonas Ewald, took first place. The quartet impressively prevailed against 15 other ensembles and will now compete against the overall winners from Saxony-Anhalt and Saxony on November 22nd in the final competition in the Chemnitz Opera. According to Wochenkurier, the young musicians have laid the foundation for a promising career.

But not only the "Los Gitarreros" could score with their performance. In the age group II, the duo "The Spreelinge", consisting of Gustav Oliver Schenck (Horn) and Jonathan writinger (piano), also cleared up and achieved first place. These successes are proof of the high musicality and the commitment of the students who learn under the roof of the Cottbus Conservatory. In total, numerous prices and special prices were awarded in both age groups that appreciate the various talents.

The award ceremony and the next steps

The young people have not only been enriched with fame and honor. The competition also offers prize money of 2,000 euros for the winners, and you also have the unique opportunity to take part in a workshop with musicians from the MDR symphony orchestra. This is another incentive to refine the musical craft and gain valuable experience.

The competition itself is organized by Enviam in cooperation with the Association of German Music Schools and the national associations of music schools in Saxony and Brandenburg. The aim is to promote the musical offspring in East Germany, an initiative that has successfully implemented since 2007. With more than 30 categories and a pyramid -like structure, the competition promotes various musical talents and ensures that both width promotion and the top forces of the music scene are recognized. The participants: inside must belong to a certain age group and can only participate as a soloist every three years: in between they can make music in various ensemble constellations.

The young talents have impressed in Lübben and show that they are ready to conquer the musical stages of the future. The competition is not only a springboard for prospective musicians: inside, but also a festival for the music schools that they train. Education and competition go hand in hand here to bring out the next music stars, in the sense of youth music, which focus on the community thoughts of making music.
