The preparations for the new season in the 3rd league are in full swing: Energie Cottbus starts the season 2025/26 with fresh vigor and has several exciting innovations in their luggage. A very special highlight is the return of the historical coat of arms of 1966, all about the 60th anniversary of the association, which is celebrated on January 31, 2026. The slogan "Back to the real coat of arms" not only signals a look back at the roots of the club, but also a fresh start.

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, the team will be on the pitch for the first time to prepare for the new season. The training start takes place at 1 p.m. in Parcelstrasse. And the team has strengthened properly: eight new players are on board, including talents such as Can Moustfa by LR Ahlen and Jannis Boziais from Astoria Walldorf, as well as experienced players such as Nyamekye Awie-Grant from the Stuttgart Kickers.

Lukas Michelbrink, who is loaned by Hertha BSC, and Moritz Hannemann from the Würzburg Kickers can also expect cozy hours in the Cottbus city.
