FC Energie Cottbus celebrates a 4-2 win in the friendly against Altglienicke!

On Friday afternoon, July 4th, 2025, a preparatory game between FC Energie Cottbus and VSG Altglienicke took place at the SV Dissenchen sports facility. Around 1,200 football-loving spectators came to support the teams in their final preparations for the upcoming season. Kick-off was at 5 p.m. and the action package didn't take long to arrive.

The encounter began with energetic pressing from the hosts, and the first two chances belonged to VSG. However, defender Kebe was able to clear a dangerous attack from Romarjo Hajrulla in the ninth minute. In the twelfth minute, Ted Tattermusch narrowly missed the goal after a precise cross from Henry Rorig. Axel Borgmann had another opportunity to give Altglienicke the lead in the 14th minute, but Cottbus' defense held firm.

Tension until halftime

In the 33rd minute, Cottbus fell behind: A free kick from VSG landed at Kapp after a block in the wall, making it 0-1. But Cottbus did not let this discourage him. The equalizer came shortly before the break: Erik Tallig scored 1-1 after a cross from Hajrulla in the 35th minute. The result remained unchanged until half-time.

After the break, FC Energie changed completely, except for goalkeeper Elias Bethke. These fresh forces had an immediate impact. Can Moustfa passed on Justin Butler in the 53rd minute to make it 2-1. Just two minutes later, Theo Ogbidi made it 3-1 after a rebound, and shortly afterwards, in the 59th minute, Erik Engelhardt made it 4-1.

But the game was not yet decided. In the 80th minute, Türpitz made it 4-2 for VSG after a misunderstanding in the Cottbus defense resulted in the goal. Engelhardt had two more opportunities in the final phase to extend the lead, but the result remained until the final whistle.
