FC Energie convinces with a 5-0 win against Eintracht Mahlsdorf!

On Tuesday evening, July 8, 2025, FC Energie Cottbus played its sixth preparatory game against BSV Eintracht Mahlsdorf. The game took place in front of almost 1,000 spectators in East Berlin and ended with a clear 5-0 win for the Cottbus team, as FC Energie reports. From the first minute, energy took command.

The first highlight didn't take long to arrive: Ted Tattermusch scored from a cross in the 4th minute to take the early lead. Despite intensive efforts from Mahlsdorfer, FC Energie was able to further expand its lead. Dennis Duah's header was strongly parried, but Romarjo Hajrulla increased the score to 0-2 in the 37th minute. Shortly before halftime, Tattermusch converted a corner from Tolcay Cigerci to make it 0-3.

Mixed second half

The second half started somewhat slowly; Mahlsdorf had a few corners, but was unable to create any real chances to score. It wasn't until the 75th minute that Erik Tallig provided a breath of fresh air and assisted Justin Butler, who made everything clear with the 0:4. Finally, Nyamekye Awortwie-Grant put the finishing touches in the 88th minute and completed the clear result with his goal to make it 0:5.

Uncertainty surrounding Mahlsdorf

Parallel to the sporting events, there was also an unexpected turnaround at Eintracht Mahlsdorf. The club's sports director has resigned from his position due to recent developments. This personality not only causes excitement in the club, but could also have an impact on the team's further preparation, as lr-online reports.

FC Energie is now looking optimistically towards the next preparatory game, which will be played tomorrow, July 9th at 2:00 p.m., against Greifswalder FC - albeit behind closed doors. The spirit of preparation remains high and the signs point to success.
