Jüterbog, Deutschland - In Jüterbog, the mayoral elections are just around the corner. On Sunday, June 29, 2025, the approximately 13,000 inhabitants have the opportunity to choose a new mayor. The election became necessary after the previous mayor Arne Raue accepted a Bundestag mandate in February. In the city, which is characterized by a lack of pediatricians and the need for more support in youth and club work, four candidates compete- two women and two men, all non-party.

• Sabrina Dimde (38 years), administrative officer, runs for the Jüterbog (BBJ) citizens' alliance in a list association with the SPD. • Sebastian Geess (42 years), officer and individual applicants, focuses on a safe environment for children and seniors. He is a consultant for logistical leadership in the Bundeswehr's operational management command.
• Christiane Lindner-Klopsch (53 years), lawyer and commissioner mayor, currently leads the administration. Her slogan: "The right one for Jüterbog". She has worked as a lawyer for over 20 years and would like to advance the development of the city without fully relying on the path of her predecessor Raue.
• Tilman Weber (born 1982), project manager and also individual applicant, emphasizes the importance of a citizen -based administration. He has the goal of improving care for children and has been physically restricted since birth, which brings a special perspective in his political approaches.

Christiane Lindner-Klopsch as a favorite

Christiane Lindner-Klopsch is considered a favorite in the race for the mayor's office. Your political attitude is conservative, but with a modern approach. She describes herself as confident and experienced and wants to identify with the concerns of the population. Lindner-Klopsch lives in Luckenwalde, which she does not feel as a disadvantage because she is intensively involved in Jüterbog. For them, the topics of medical care and dealing with ammunition -contaminated areas are of great importance.

Current challenges in Jüterbog

The challenges that Jüterbog has to face cannot be dismissed.
