interested parents can register their children at www.cottbus.de/kinderstadt. The daily activities are planned from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., whereby a city festival will take place on Friday from 11:00 a.m.

A special feature of the children's city is the active participation of the children when planning. The so -called team 2025 worked with organizers on a diverse program. The needs of children with disabilities are also taken into account, so that an inclusive environment is created in which everyone can feel good.

The organizers made a good hand to make the site designed barrier -free. Although it is not completely wheelchair accessible, ramps are available at transitions, and there is also a barrier -low seat toilet. There is also a supervised retreat for children who need calm and subdued light, and headphones are made available to guarantee a pleasant atmosphere.

flexibility and support

Another plus is the flexible design of the program. Reading and writing are not necessary everywhere, which makes participation easier for all children. Extra staff can also be requested for additional support. Particularly noteworthy is the planned “silent hour”, which offers space for relaxation and enables the children to find peace.
