This morning, July 8, 2025, an accident occurred on the A13 between Großräschen and Klettwitz. At around 9 a.m., a car crashed into a stationary truck because the driver of the heavy transport truck overlooked an approaching vehicle while overtaking. The car driver was taken to hospital with injuries, while the truck driver was fortunately uninjured.
The effects of the accident were immediately noticeable: the road in the direction of Dresden had to be completely closed for a short time, which led to a backlog and unpleasant waiting times. The property damage is estimated at around 15,000 euros and the damaged car had to be towed away. Such accidents are by no means rare on the busy A13, which is an important connection between Berlin and Dresden.
