Weekly markets in Cottbus are canceled – the city festival promises a highlight!

There are some changes to the weekly markets in Cottbus that are important for all market lovers. The weekly market at the town hall will not take place on Friday, June 20, 2025. The weekly market at the Oberkirche will also be closed on Saturday, June 21, 2025. This information was announced by the city of Cottbus and pointed out that the markets in the districts of Sandow, Ströbitz, Sachsendorf and Spremberger Vorstadt will take place as usual. At another end of the city, the 32nd city festival is being celebrated, which will be opened by Mayor Tobias Schick on Friday at 5:00 p.m. This festival will take place over three days and offers a colorful program. Among the highlights are the German-Polish wine festival, the Sorbian/Wendish festival and the intercultural festival “Cottbus Open”.
