54 excited children start the HC Spreewald handball camp!

A very special event took place in the picturesque Spreewald at the beginning of July: the handball camp HC Spreewald. A total of 54 young athletes between the ages of 6 and 14 took part on July 5th and 6th, 2025. The excited children had the opportunity to improve their handball skills under the guidance of experienced coaches and make new friends.

The training days were peppered with a variety of activities. From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the young talents were busy learning basic skills such as throwing, catching and bouncing. Age-appropriate groups enabled individual training, while various stations to improve skills were on the program. The highlight of the afternoon were the tournament games, which also attracted many parents to the tracks to cheer on their children.

Support and food

Thanks to the generous support of theMiddle Brandenburg Sparkasseand the sponsor Marktkauf Marco Hesse provided excellent catering. Participants could look forward to a warm lunch and fresh fruit snacks. These conditions ensured that the children not only learned a lot, but also had a lot of fun and were motivated for their further sporting challenges.

The HC Spreewald not only aims to promote talented handball players, but also to give socially disadvantaged children a chance to try out the sport.
