Dahme-Spreewald, Deutschland - In the picturesque Spreewald, a very special event took place at the beginning of July: the handball camp of the hc Spreewald . On the days 05 and July 6, 2025, a total of 54 young athletes aged 6 to 14 took part. The excited children had the opportunity to improve their handball skills under the instructions of experienced trainers and to make new friendships.

The training days were peppered with a variety of activities. From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the young talents were busy learning basic skills such as throwing, catching, catching and bruising. Age -friendly groups enabled individual training, while various stations were on the program to improve skills. The highlight of the afternoon was the tournament games, which also attracted numerous parents to the tracks to cheer on their children.

The participants could look forward to a warm lunch and fresh fruit snacks. These framework conditions ensured that the children not only learned a lot, but also had great fun and motivated for their other sporting challenges.

The camp of the camp was clearly on the promotion of movement, team spirit and the joy of playing. The HC Spreewald not only pursues the goal of promoting talented handball players, but also giving socially disadvantaged children a chance to try them out in sports. For this purpose, a single point of contact is offered that takes care of the support of girls in the teams and volunteers. The association calls on all interested parties to report to the HC Spreewald to shape the sporting future of young athletes together.

A look into the future

If you don't have enough of handball, you can look forward to the next activities of the association, while the regular season is paused until the 2025/2026 season. The HC Spreewald is also active on social media and regularly informs about game reports and news. A new fan collection in cooperation with the leisure oasis is also available, both in the shop and online.

The Deutsche Kinder-Sport-Akademie also campaigns for the promotion of handball camps that are specially tailored to children and adolescents. The camps can be designed individually and offer offers for different age groups, including goalkeeper and special camps. These initiatives show how important exercise and sport are for the development of young people.
