Guitar quartet Los Gittarreros inspires at the Enviam final!

Dahme-Spreewald, Deutschland - On June 24, 2025, the headlights on the guitar quartet "Los Gittarreros" from the Musik- und Kunstschule have Hovelland. The four boys Elias Otto, Bruno Kaufmann, Janne Prüß and Leonas Ewald won the national victory in age group 1 in the “Enviam - Music Music Music” competition. For the young talents, this event is not only a reason to be happy, but also ensures that you take part in the grand finale, which will take place on November 22nd in the Chemnitz Opera. Here they compete against ensembles from Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt and have the chance to win prices of up to 2,000 euros in prize money and exclusive workshops with musicians from the renowned MDR symphony orchestra.

Overall, the Brandenburg regional competition was an exciting event with 13 ensembles and 36 participants. Despite the high level of competition, seven ensembles were honored, which impressively demonstrates the quality of the performances. Further talents were also honored at the award ceremony, which took place under the patronage of District Administrator Christian Jaschinski and Mayor Jörg Gampe. The bumblebee trio of the Frankfurt (Oder) music school will be represented by Brandenburg on November 16 at the Staatstheater Cottbus.

A look at "youth music"

Participation in the competition is part of the "Jugend musiziert" initiative, which has been focusing on making music together since 2007 and offers young talents a valuable platform. In around 170 regional competitions that take place annually in around 135 regions of Germany, the participants have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and to receive valuable feedback from a jury. This often consists of experienced musicians and teachers who are volunteers and thus promote the musical growth of children and adolescents. With the initiative "Enviam - Music from municipalities", Enviam, the Association of German Music Schools and the music schools in Saxony and Brandenburg bring musicians together and thus promote cultural coexistence in the region. More and more young talents have the opportunity to live out their passion in front of a wide audience, which has a positive effect on the local music scene. There is now an exciting final for the "Los Gittarreros", and the Cologne team can look forward to further musical highlights.
