New drama in the Spreewald Clinic: Lea's secret is in danger of being exposed!

The anticipation for the second season of “Die Spreewaldklinik” is growing! After the successful launch last year, the popular medical series will continue with new episodes from June 30, 2025 on Sat.1 and from June 27, 2025 on Joyn. In total, the second season contains an impressive 126 episodes, which air from Monday to Friday at 7 p.m. Joyn reports from a special focus on emotional stories and exciting conflicts that will captivate the audience.

In the new season, the main character Dr. Lea Wolff, portrayed by Sina Valeska Jung, returns to her homeland after 20 years, where she is looking for her daughter Nico (Isabel Hinz), who was given up for adoption. Lea, who works as a doctor at the Spreewald Clinic, became the mother that Nico never knew. However, a farewell letter from Lea to Nico causes turmoil when it accidentally ends up with her and leads to an emotional crisis for the young nurse. Storm that reports about the tensions that arise from the return of Lea's childhood sweetheart Paul Menke (Daniel Scholz) and the introduction of new characters such as Erik's ex-girlfriend, Mona (Maja Lehrer).

The plot of the second season promises to deepen the secrets and intrigue within the clinic. The appearance of Dr. Mark Engelhardt (Jan Hartmann) brings additional drama into play, while family themes are not neglected either. The daughter of senior physician Dr. Gregor Wehmut, Fiona Wemuth (Zsa Zsa Hansen), is introduced as a patient and is also dealing with her own problems. Paul Menke is faced with the challenge that his wife Doreen could find out about his secret family life - the existence of Nico, his daughter, whom he has denied. These constellations promise a lot of ups and downs in everyday clinical life.

German television has a long history of doctor and hospital series that deal with both medical dramas and interpersonal conflicts. Series such as “In All Friendship” and “The Black Forest Clinic” have gained a permanent place in the TV program over the years and are very popular. The Spreewald Clinic now joins this list and is becoming increasingly popular. The Stuttgarter Nachrichten explains the appeal of such series, offering insights into both the challenges of the healthcare system and personal fates.

Fans of the series can look forward to gripping new episodes that will certainly feature emotional twists, dramatic conflicts and much more! The Spreewald Clinic is and remains a place full of secrets and surprising revelations, which will captivate viewers until the last minute.
