Herzberg celebrates the first inclusive dart tournament – ​​be there!

On Saturday, November 8th, 2025, the time has come: the first Herzberg dart tournament opens its doors in the Elsterlandhalle in Herzberg (Elster). This event not only brings fun and excitement, but also has a special purpose: to promote sporting cooperation and the inclusion of people with disabilities. Reported about it Time online.

It starts at 4 p.m. and the tournament is supported by Karsten Eule-Prütz, the mayor of Herzberg, as patron. The game is played in two different groups: On the one hand, there is an inclusion tournament with e-darts in which ten people with disabilities compete against local celebrities, and on the other hand, there is a classic steel dart tournament for up to 64 players. Around 50 participants have already registered so far, and those who decide at short notice are warmly invited to register spontaneously on site in the evening. Admission for spectators is free – a great way to experience the event up close.

Excitement during sports and more

The tournament is organized by Jana Hermann from the social enterprise Elsterwerk, and sports therapist Björn Rathsack takes on the role of tournament director. Over the last six weeks, Rathsack has organized regular training sessions for people with disabilities to enable them to take part in this special event. The inclusive tournament focuses on concentration and hand-eye coordination; Physical fitness doesn't play a role, so all participants can give their best.

The tournament's facilities are similar to those at Alexandra Palace in London, where the famous World Darts Championship is held. This creates a real world championship feeling in the Elsterlandhalle!
