Around 20 lovers of restored GDR scooters gather from June 20 to 22, 2025 for a special meeting that celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. The event is organized by Marcus Schulze, who appreciates both the region and the passion for classic cars. His weekend house near Lindthal is often the starting point for exciting trips.

The idea for this inspiring classic car scoler meeting was created during a hike in the Ore Mountains of Herbert Leonhardt and Hartmut Schulze. The urge to celebrate the fascination for historical vehicles together with like -minded people brings together participants from the Ore Mountains, Leipzig and Dresden. The first family scooter meeting took place in the Ore Mountains in 2010 and has developed into a popular tradition since then.

The goal of the current exit are Finsterwalde and Crinitz, where a family afternoon is planned in the Waldbad on Saturday. Here the participants can look forward to a nice get -together with waffles, coffee, cake, ice cream and other drinks. Marcus Schulze remembers that in 2019 the classic car friends in the Waldbad Crinitz were received with coffee and cake - a warm tradition that is to be continued this year.

The wide age structure of the participants is particularly gratifying: most are over 50, but the next generation is also at the start. Schulze's sons, 15-year-old Fritz and the 22-year-old Curt, bring a breath of fresh air to the event. Curt has already restored four scooters, while Fritz takes care of the old scooter of her grandpa.
