In Brandenburg there will be intensive discussions on the budget for the years 2025 and 2026 from June 16th to 18th, 2025. In the plenary session, the MPs will primarily debate the budget and the accompanying budget law. Finance Minister Katrin Lange said the increase in spending was “unsurprising” given general inflation. Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke emphasizes the need not to save money in times of crisis. In this regard, the implementation of important projects is also highlighted, such as the investment grant for hospitals worth 110 million euros per year and the pact for care worth 18.7 million euros per year.
Structure and approval of budgets
