880 years of Milow: Party with Modern Talking Reloaded and Havelstafette!
A big festival will be celebrated in Milow from July 18th to 20th, 2025. On the occasion of the 880th anniversary, visitors can expect a packed program that has a lot to offer for both young and old. The rides will open their doors on July 17, 2025 and herald the start of the celebrations, which have the motto “Celebrate and enjoy in Milower Land”.
The first highlight will take place on the evening of July 18th, when the celebrations will be officially opened by the mayor and the mayor at 6 p.m. Afterwards a lively party will start with DJ Mike from BB Radio's morning show. The open-air stage in Milow becomes the stage for the best entertainment.
Live music and competitions
A special highlight is the live performance by the cover band Modern Talking Reloaded on July 19th at 9 p.m. on the sports field. This energetic show is complemented by the supporting program with the Milower band “Die Dandys”. Meanwhile, there will also be an exciting singing competition on the same day: “Milow sucht den Superstar” begins at 4 p.m. and will be judged by a jury in which the audience can actively participate.
Another highlight in the festive program is the traditional “Havelstafette” competition, which takes place on July 19th at 2 p.m. This team competition involves groups of six runners and one swimmer who move from the pharmacy through Milow and then swim back. This competition not only promises top sporting performances, but also a lot of fun and action for the spectators.
Family program and culinary delights
On Saturday the family program continues from 2 p.m., with numerous activities that combine sport, fun and games. Visitors can also look forward to culinary stands that present a wide range of food and drinks. The Fröhlich Music School also provides musical entertainment between the highlights, so that no leg will stand still.
The festival also offers the opportunity to win great prizes in a raffle. The main prizes include a weekend on a romantic houseboat with a candlelight dinner. The first three places in the singing competition can also look forward to musical prizes, including a complete CD and several music tracks.
The celebrations end on July 20th with a musical morning pint accompanied by brass music. This colorful hustle and bustle is organized by the Milower Land e.V. cultural association and the Milow local council, who would like to take this opportunity to thank the sponsors and supporters. The anticipation of a great celebration can already be felt by many, and the organizing team has a good knack for ensuring that this weekend will be remembered.
