Who are the protagonists of this competition? First we have Manuel Meger, born in 1982 and incumbent mayor since 2018. The former automotive mechatronics engineer has made a name for himself with the construction of four new daycare centers and the reactivation of the fresh produce market. His main concerns are the revitalization of the old town and the renovation of the Theater of Friendship.

Daniela Zießnitz, born in 1968 and deputy mayor, is also on the ballot. Her nomination sparked discussions within the CDU, which would have liked to have had a common candidate. She has lived in Falkensee since 2002 and is committed to the digitization of the town hall and the creation of additional leisure activities for young people. Her academic training in administration and human resources development could help her.

Sven Kilian, born in 1984 and active in the city council since 2024, is also standing for election. As an individual candidate, he takes a critical look at rising rents and the energy transition. Sharp accusations against him relate to his alleged right-wing extremist involvement, which he, however, rejects. By dealing with the corona pandemic, he has taken on another topic.

The fourth candidate, Michael Wiebersinsky, born in 1985, is an intensive care physician at the Havelland Clinic and has only been a member of the city council since 2024. Supported by the Left and the Greens, he is planning to set up a community café to answer citizens' questions and would like to improve the connection between the districts and the city center, for example through a citizens' bus.
