September 27, 2025 was the big day for the clubs in Rathenow. Over 50 clubs presented their diverse works and projects on Märkischer Platz and in the cultural center. A colorful program of animal protection, art, culture and sport thrilled visitors and offered numerous hands-on stations. For example, guests could try out football, learn cheerleading or try their hand at a glider cockpit. Rathenow24 reports that a stage program and culinary offerings could not be missing, and workshops for volunteers rounded off the offering. Topics such as “child protection in volunteer work” and “ensuring commitment” were actively addressed in the workshops.
A special highlight of the event was the introduction of the new volunteer platform, which District Administrator Roger Lewandowski officially put into operation. This platform brings together important information and is accessible via the My HVL app. Available free of charge for iOS and Android devices, it is intended to significantly increase the visibility and accessibility of volunteering in Havelland. Havelland Humhub informs that the app not only offers its own club area, but also opens up communication opportunities between users, which promotes exchange and engagement.
