Falkensee celebrates: Restaurant Sawito receives coveted Michelin star!

Falkensee, Deutschland - An exciting day for the catering scene in Brandenburg: the restaurant Sawito In Falkensee has now received a Michelin star. It is the third restaurant in Brandenburg that was honored with this prestigious award. Restaurant tester Manuela Blisse praised the menu in the Sawito and was pleasantly surprised by the successful combination of a classic basis and modern dishes that the restaurant offers.

This award was awarded as part of a ceremony on Tuesday evening in Frankfurt am Main. In addition to the Sawito, two more restaurants in Brandenburg were also allowed to keep their star: the Alte crossing in Werder an der Havel. In Berlin there are now 17 restaurants with a Michelin star, including the freshly awarded restaurants Loumi in Kreuzberg, Matthias in Prenzlauer Berg and pars in Charlottenburg.

local challenges

Despite this positive news, the region is overshadowed by a different, less gratifying reality. The storm low "Ziros", which swept across the Havelland on Monday, led to a terrifying 200 missions by the fire brigade, especially in Rathenow and Falkensee. The storm was tragic in Schönwalde, where a woman in her car was trapped and fatally injured by a crazy tree. While some localities were very affected, others were largely spared.

In Falkensee, the discussion about the "compact" magazine also causes excitement. After the ban on the ban, which was issued by the former Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser for right -wing extremists in July 2024, politicians are concerned, but do not want to fear any unrest.

new residential projects in the Olympic village

Olympic village of Elstal comprises 300 new apartments in eight existing buildings and three new buildings. The first apartments of the LUZ Long system are to be occupied this summer, and the entire construction phase should be completed by 2027.

However, the position of the district fire chief in the Hovelland district has remained vacant for six months, which indicates further challenges in the region.

This dynamic time shows that the region is on the way forward both in the catering trade and in the infrastructure, even if the challenges cannot be overlooked.
