Havelland celebrates unity: Experience culture and leisure in Berlin!
On October 3, 2025, when all of Germany celebrates German Unity Day, the Brandenburg state representation in Berlin will be a special attraction. On the occasion of this holiday, the two districts of Havelland and Oberhavel present themselves in the heart of the capital. Under the motto “Along the Havel – Live, Work, Relax” the aim is to introduce visitors to the advantages of this region. This reports rathenow24.de.
From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. there will be information on the topics of railway technology, recruiting, tourism and the famous Ribbeck Castle at four different information stands. The Havelland district administrator, Roger Lewandowski, will warmly welcome the guests together with his counterpart from Oberhavel. The press office is also on site to provide information about current developments.
A colorful program awaits visitors
The program offers a variety of entertainment: a dance ensemble will create a good atmosphere with their performances, and the Fontane actors will also appear as “unity ambassadors” to introduce the guests to the region. There is also a touch of royal entertainment with the Ketzin Fisherman Queen and the Heath Queen from Dallgow-Döberitz. This information supplements Brandenburg.de.
But culture is not neglected either. Tours are planned for the open day at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., during which visitors can find out more about the tasks of the state representation. The Berlin-Brandenburg Transport Association will provide information about local transport options, while the Mildenberg Brickworks Park will provide insights into historical brick production. In addition, a donation bazaar with rarities from the state representation's fund is offered, which is a nice opportunity to do something good.
Further highlights in Havelland
Havelland also offers a wide range of events that span the holiday. A charity tournament for SV Blau-Gelb is taking place in Falkensee, the proceeds of which go to Lebenshilfe Havelland e.V. In Rathenow you can look forward to a historical cemetery tour led by master stonemason Christa Eißer. A family sports festival and a concert by Vladimir Mogilevsky are also planned at Ribbeck Castle. Families in Nennhausen in particular have the opportunity to end the holiday with a cozy get-together with pumpkin soup, bratwurst and singing, informed maz-online.de.
Admission to the event at the state representation is free, which increases the chance of getting an impression of the numerous opportunities that Havelland and the neighboring districts have to offer. Be inspired and spend a diverse day dedicated to unity!
