The anticipation is growing for the Rathenow Days for New Music, where two exciting concerts are on the program right at the beginning. On September 2nd at 7:00 p.m. the time has come when the youth ensemble Percussion Band Rathenow and the Ensemble Rot take the stage. This event takes place in the Rathenow Cultural Center and promises a unique experience for all lovers of extraordinary soundscapes. The program includes works by renowned composers such as Steve Reich and Iannis Xenakis, while the world premiere by Zacharias Fasshauer entitled “Illusions for Betty” is a particular highlight. The Percussion Band, a youth ensemble from the Havelland Music and Art School, will perform together with the international music theater ensemble Ensemble Rot. The latter features special performance elements in which metal plates and human-sized puppets come to life.
