Shifts in Havelland football: withdrawals and promotion fight!
The 2024/25 championship season in the Havelland football district has come to an end and is looking at some notable developments for the coming seasons. Maz-online.de reports that the district cup final between Germania Berge and RSV Eintracht 1949 Stahnsdorf II will take place on June 27th at 6:30 p.m. in Schenkenberg. At first glance you might think that this would be the highlight, but the background is more complex.
Hartmut Domagala, chairman of the FK game committee, is satisfied with the past season. But a voluntary withdrawal and foregoing promotion will result in some postponements next season. FC Borussia Brandenburg will be promoted to the state class as district champions. In contrast, SV Kloster Lehnin and Lok Potsdam say goodbye to the higher league. The latter has even announced that it will voluntarily withdraw to the 1st district class, and it is uncertain what will happen next for the club, as the lease for the sports field expires by the end of the year.
Promoted and relegated teams at a glance
The structure of the leagues will change next year. In the district leagues A and B, only two teams have to go into the lower division: Blau-Weiß Wusterwitz from A and Traktor Schlalach from B. Fortunately, SV 05 Rehbrücke remains in the league because Lok Potsdam has withdrawn. The promoted teams to the regional league will be the following teams:
- Germania Berge
- Bredower SV
- SG Michendorf II
- SpG Groß Glienicke/Seeburg
In the 1st district class, Fortuna Babelsberg III, FSV Grün-Weiß Niemegk and RSV Eintracht 1949 Stahnsdorf III are at the top of the list of promoted teams, while Eintracht Friesack II, ESV Kirchmöser, SG Töplitz and Eintracht Glindow are sent to the 2nd district class. Eintracht Glindow has to cope with the painful third relegation in five years.
The district cup and the new season
Another eye-catcher is the district cup, which Chemie Premnitz thanked for hosting. In the current competition, SV Ziesar won the district cup and will now try to draw attention again in the next round on August 13th. The second round follows on August 27th. FK-Havelland.de highlights that preparations for the 2024/25 season in the men's division have already been completed. The game plans for all classes have been activated and there is a lively exchange between the relay leaders to check the kick-off times.
The next big event will be the season opening on August 18, 2024 in Ziesar, where a new artificial turf pitch will be inaugurated. From a sporting perspective, it remains exciting to see how the teams will achieve their goals in the league and the cup. The new framework conditions and the challenges caused by withdrawals and restructuring will shape the coming season.
As a final note, we would like to remind all teams that regular review of match reports is necessary to ensure everything is accurate. Fussball.de offers a useful function to easily report errors in the game report and make changes. Collaboration between relay leaders and clubs is essential for a smooth process.
