Young designer of the future: City scope brings a breath of fresh air to Brandenburg!

Brandenburg an der Havel, Deutschland - The city of Brandenburg an der Havel brings a breath of fresh air into the help of shaping its urban rooms. The workshops are an important part of the initiative to ensure that the game designs actually meet the wishes and needs of the young people. Some requests for more objects and greater variety in the game cannot be implemented in the current phase, but the feedback from the participants provides valuable information for the city administration.

A look into the future

Another highlight of the participation is the planned citizens' conference on September 29, 2025, in which the results of the “Let’s Play Climate Adaptation” project are presented. It will be exciting to see how the young people were able to implement their ideas and how they will be incorporated into the future urban planning. The city administration hopes to motivate many other citizens to participate until the final period on July 27, 2025.

But the opportunities for participation do not end with the “city scope”. As part of the Emphyres project, a digital platform for participation by children and adolescents is also developed. Here, ethical, legal and social implications are taken into account, which emphasizes the importance of the child's point of view in planning processes.
