Three fake wills: justice for the Kremmen inheritance!
The case surrounding the forged wills of Hans-Jürgen M., who died in 2018, continues to cause a stir in Kremmen. After a trial that began on October 13 and ended on November 4, three relatives and a real estate agent were convicted. Ronny M. (38), his wife Marianne M. (37) and René S. (58) now have to deal with probation conditions after their manipulations in connection with an inheritance worth an estimated 540,000 euros were exposed.
Hans-Jürgen M. died alone in his house and left an inheritance including a house, farm and land. Ronny M. claimed to have taken care of his uncle and found him dead in his apartment. But the executor questioned the authenticity of the will, which led to an investigation. In his role as a real estate agent, René S. offered the couple his support and encouraged them to sue the probate court. These decisions led to a series of civil lawsuits in which the inheritance was ultimately rejected.
The fake wills
The Oranienburg lay judges' court concluded that all of the wills were forged, most likely by the same person. The verdicts resulted in Ronny M. being sentenced to 1 year and 9 months, Marianne M. to 1 year and 2 months and René S. to 1 year and 7 months in prison. However, all sentences were suspended, with the defendants required to make community service payments. Ronny M. is supposed to pay 2,000 euros, his wife 1,000 euros and René S. even 6,000 euros to charities.
A turbulent legacy
This case shines a bright light on the dark side of inheritance law and illustrates how quickly the fine line between support and criminal activity can be crossed. Despite the court decisions, it is clear that dealing with inheritance and estate always involves a certain amount of risk. Survivors should think carefully about who they trust and what steps they take to secure their inheritance.
