Fortuna Glienicke celebrates her first win after a spectacular comeback!

On November 4th, 2025, Fortuna Glienicke fans can breathe a sigh of relief: After a mixed first half of the season in the North Football Regional League, BSC Fortuna Glienicke finally achieved their first win of the season on matchday 9. There was great celebration when the team won the game against Preussen Eberswalde 4-2, after already being down 2-0. Coach Jamill Mavula described the victory as a “liberation” and sees it as a necessary boost for the rest of the season. Before this success, there were only two points from the first six games. They also suffered a defeat in the national cup (1:2 against Veritas Wittenberge/Breese) and the pressure situation was enormous.

What were the keys to this comeback? Mavula emphasized that the team had to learn new virtues in the current situation. Instead of playing carefree offensive football, it is now necessary to “work football” and fight for the ball in every duel. Last season was also marked by challenges for Fortuna Glienicke; They became runners-up three times and most recently came fifth three times – a result that raised high expectations and is now accompanied by a different standard.

The exciting gameplay

In an exciting game, the Fortuna Glienicke players showed their passion and team spirit. Lucas Groth (31'), Justin Hippe (36') and Niclas Warwel (44') scored the goals before the break, while Alexander Rackwitz added the fourth goal in the 46th minute. These goals highlighted the comings and goings of emotions in the game. However, Mavula remains realistic because despite the win, the team is still at the bottom of the table with just five points from nine games so far.

“There is a long way to go and we have to use the good moments to build our self-confidence,” Mavula made clear. The challenge for the team in the next few games will be to build on this success and finally collect points consistently.

Beyond football: A look at the current news situation

While Fortuna Glienicke fights for every point, the situation surrounding Shein remains another example of the challenges in today's economic and social environment. It's clear that there is a lot at stake in both sports and commerce - both for the teams on the field and for the brands fighting for their image and integrity.
