Something is happening in the heart of the commercial area on the A24 near Staffelde! A new Netto-Markendiscount logistics center is being built here, and the work is progressing quickly and as planned. A lot has happened on the construction site since the building permit was issued in spring 2025. The framework of the façade is already visible, and the first lamps are also flashing inside, indicating that it will soon be completed. The logistics center will include an impressive storage area of around 65,000 square meters and measures an impressive 400 meters in length and 150 meters in width. Netto is keeping a low profile when it comes to investment costs, but it is clear that up to 500 employees will be able to find employment here at full capacity. The project is therefore of central importance not only for Netto, but also for the region. The first plans were presented to the city of Kremmen's building committee in 2021, and it is becoming apparent that this will provide valuable economic impetus for the surrounding area.
Further developments in the region
But that's not all! Another logistics center, planned by the Wiedemann company, is to be built on the eastern side of the state road. However, construction is no longer scheduled to begin this year.
The progress of the Netto project shows that the region is well on the way to further economic development. Not only will new infrastructure be created here, but also jobs that will benefit local people.
