Oranienburg is booming: nine commercial areas and the space is becoming rare!

Oranienburg, the largest and economically strongest city in the Oberhavel district, is becoming increasingly popular with businesses. The city recently highlighted its economic development agency as the central contact for companies in order to meet the increasing need for space. There are a total of nine commercial areas in Oranienburg, which are characterized by different sizes and a variety of industries. The city is already planning to further develop these areas to meet the high demand.

The largest commercial area, the Gewerbepark Süd, covers an impressive 89 hectares and offers space for around 20 companies, including names such as Rewe and Merker. The North Industrial Park with 47.8 hectares is also home to around 35 companies, including Orafol and Surfaced. The commercial areas offer a wide range of industries and enable numerous economic activities.

Overview of the commercial areas

A comprehensive overview of the commercial areas is now available for those interested. Here are some of the most important locations in Oranienburg:

The existing commercial areas are all well to very well developed. Particularly noteworthy are the transport connections, which enable companies to take shorter routes to customers and suppliers. The city hopes that the planned developments will not only strengthen the business location, but also an increase in trade tax revenue, which was 31.5 million euros last year and is forecast to be 43 million euros each for 2025 and 2026.

With this upswing, Oranienburg has shown a good hand. More and more companies and investors are interested in the city, which has established itself as an attractive location. “The further development of the commercial areas is a response to the great response from companies, which continues,” says the city’s economic development agency. The potential space is therefore not just an economic move, but a clear trend into the future.

The next few years promise exciting economic activities for Oranienburg and will show how this dynamic business location continues to develop. So stay tuned – there’s a lot to report!
