Oranienburg: An unforgettable city festival with dragon boat races and music!

A happy event is on the agenda in Oranienburg! The city festival, which is celebrated from Friday, June 20th to Sunday, June 22nd, promises a colorful spectacle for young and old. A children's and women's ensemble will kick off on Friday at 3:30 p.m., followed by the introductory words of Mayor Alexander Laesicke. The Schlossplatz becomes the center of the action and offers the perfect setting for the celebrations.

Entry to Schlossplatz is free - that's all the more reason to stop by! However, rides and various activities must be paid for. Exciting dragon boat races are organized for all sports enthusiasts throughout the weekend, and you can register up until race day. The races take place daily from 9 a.m. and are carried out in collaboration with the Oranienburg Water Sports Center.

Security concept and regulations

With the increase in visitor numbers, safety is also a top priority. A well-thought-out security concept includes fenced areas with two fixed entrances and a temporary entrance that can be closed when there is a high volume of visitors. These measures are intended to ensure that only permitted items are allowed onto the premises. Glass containers, alcoholic beverages, weapons and other dangerous items are expressly prohibited. Bag checks also ensure that everything stays in check. Legend Security emphasizes how important such security precautions are for the protection of guests.

A spacious fairground with rides for all ages ensures fun and entertainment. This is open on Friday from 2 p.m. to midnight, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Saturday, June 21st, the “Fête de la Musique” will also take place on the grounds of the Technology and Training Center (TAZ). Here you can look forward to a variety of live acts - a real hit for music lovers!

Cultural highlights

Music fans can look forward to a varied program on the Stadtwerke stage. “The Untouchables” will perform on Friday, while on Saturday the Johnny Cash cover band “Cash Use” will pay a visit to the authorities. A special highlight of the festival is the appearance of Dr. Motte on Friday evening and the band Keimzeit on Saturday, both from 10 p.m. The festival ends on Saturday with an impressive laser show and light effects at 11:45 p.m.

Another highlight on Sunday is the church service, followed by a concert by the Oranienburg Orchestra and the duo “Insane”. The last day of the festival will also be musically lively. And if you would like to experience a little maritime flair, you can visit the state yacht “Sehnsucht” for free on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. – a real insider tip!

A free bus is offered for transport to the TAZ stage - another reason to use public transport and fully enjoy the festivities. The complete program and all important information can be found on the Oranienburg website.

The city festival in Oranienburg will be a weekend full of adventure, music, safety and community - an event that you shouldn't miss!
