Power outages in Fürstenberg: Maintenance work causes interruptions!
On August 11, 2025, important maintenance work on the power grid infrastructure will take place in Fürstenberg/Havel, Brandenburg. This work, carried out by the E.DIS Netz GmbH, affect the districts of Ravensbrück and Röblinsee settlement. The maintenance work is necessary to ensure security of supply for residents and to keep the electricity network up to date.
The first measures in the field path area in the Röblinsee settlement began on the morning of August 11th. The power supply there may be interrupted between 9:00 a.m. and probably 12:00 p.m. In the afternoon, from 1:00 p.m., work will follow on Wallstrasse in Ravensbrück, which could last until around 4:00 p.m. Power outages are expected during this time, but operators advise that such disruptions typically do not constitute an emergency. If there are problems, those affected should first check whether the fault is only in their own home.
Electricity grid is being modernized
E.DIS Netz GmbH not only planned maintenance work in Fürstenberg, but also set up two new transformer stations in the Uckermark. This important expansion of the infrastructure enables transport and installation with the help of a heavy transport and a crane from the Gräper company in Heiligengrabe. The new transformer stations are not only important for the current supply, but also offer the opportunity to create fast charging options for electric vehicles in Lychen, near the Netto market. In Templin, the new Wohncarré is to be supplied with heat pumps, and the connection to the power grid has already been applied for Northern Courier reported.
In addition, the old infrastructure in Templin will also be renewed: over 328 meters of medium-voltage cable and 840 meters of low-voltage cable will be replaced along the B 109. This is where the new transformer stations, known as DigiONS, are used. This modern technology converts the medium voltage of 20,000 volts into a safe low voltage of 400 volts and even enables remote monitoring of power consumption and a faster response in the event of a fault.
Long-term plans for the future
2025 is a crucial year for the further plans of E.DIS Netz GmbH, in which around 430 additional transformer stations are planned. The company currently operates a power line network of around 82,500 kilometers in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, supplemented by a gas pipeline network of around 5,100 kilometers in eastern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and northern Brandenburg. This massive infrastructure shows how important a well-functioning electricity supply is for the region.
The maintenance work in Fürstenberg is a small but necessary step to ensure that seamless supply remains guaranteed in the future. Anyone affected by power outages on this day should not be afraid E.DIS network fault information to contact and, if in doubt, also check your own power box. The efforts of E.DIS Netz GmbH show that they do not want to take any risks when it comes to the stability of the energy supply.
