On January 11, 2026, the citizens of the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district will go to the polls to elect a new district administrator. The district election committee in Senftenberg has officially approved three candidates for the election radiolausitz.de reported. The selection includes Alexander Erbert from the CDU, Antje Ruhland-Führer from the AfD and Dr. Evgeni Kivman from the Animal Protection Party.
All three applications were submitted on time and accepted unanimously.
