In Oberhavel the fire brigade only had to be deployed six times, while in Uckermark eight deployments were recorded.
No major damage to complain about
The Oderland regional control center reported around 30 to 40 operations, which mainly affected cellars that were full. The emergency services from the Lausitz control center were also only deployed on 20 weather-related missions, mainly including basements that were under water and some fallen trees. However, things remained calm in Potsdam-Mittelmark, Teltow-Fläming and Brandenburg an der Havel, meaning that no storm-related operations were necessary here.
As the German Weather Service (DWD) in a report by t online reported, severe weather warnings were issued for Tuesday night, but the highest warning level only applied to the areas between Rostock and Stralsund and parts of the Baltic Sea island of Rügen. The feared heavy rains did not materialize and the night passed without any notable incidents in Berlin.
The weather forecast remains uncertain
The weather is expected to continue to be unsettled in Berlin on Tuesday. According to the forecasts, among others from the Severe Weather Center are provided, showers and isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out in some areas, while the maximum values will be between 19 and 26 degrees. The warning levels range from moderate to extreme storms.
Despite the comparatively quiet night, caution is still advised. The DWD points out that there may also be weather conditions in the future that require quick action. It's worth keeping a close eye on the current weather warnings.
