Enjoyment at the 369th Martinimarkt: You have to try these five specialties!

The Neuruppin Martinimarkt is in full swing and is delighting visitors with its 369th edition. Culinary diversity is the focus here and offers both savory and sweet enjoyment. For foodies, MAZ volunteer Luca Cikrit recommends five special delicacies that you should definitely try. For example, you can enjoy a delicious vegetable pan with or without feta from Christoph Meier's Vegetable Garden for 7 euros. For game meat lovers, there is the game burger from “Waidmanns Food” for 13 euros, freshly grilled and also a real treat.

If you're looking for something hearty, you shouldn't miss the shish kebab skewer. This Polish classic is available for just 10 euros and is served with two juicy pieces of meat and onions. For the thirsty visitors, we recommend a Ruppiner Helles from the Pirate Bar. The regional beer is brewed by the Lemke Brewery in Berlin for 6 euros per half liter. And for a sweet ending, the quark balls from the Mühlen bakery on the school square are an absolute must - two large ones for just 5 euros.

Diverse supporting program

But the Martini market is not just a feast for the palate. Over 100 showmen and an impressive supporting program provide plenty of entertainment. The event runs until Sunday, November 9th, and features a spectacular climax with the big fireworks display on Friday at 10 p.m.

The festival venues are full of lights and activities. More than 1,000,000 LED lights shine towards visitors and create a magical atmosphere. The selection of rides ranges from a classic Ferris wheel to bumper cars to exciting roller coasters such as the “King Kong Tower” and the “Caterpillar Coaster”. Children can look forward to child-friendly attractions such as the “Viva Kuba” running shop.

Culinary offer

A rich culinary offering complements the festival. Here guests can enjoy Hungarian Langos, Polish Krakow, French crepes, hot dogs and many other delicacies. If you are looking for even more sweet temptations, you will also find the popular churros, candied fruits and many other delicacies at the various stands.

However, before diving into the action, it is worth taking a brief look at the history of the Martinimarkt, which looks back on an impressive tradition spanning 369 years. This makes it an integral part of the local culture and attracts numerous visitors every year.

The Neuruppin Martinimarkt not only provides entertainment, but also a feeling of community and joy. Whether you fortify yourself with a hearty vegetable pan or enjoy a cool Ruppiner Helles after an exciting ride - there is something for everyone here.
