Weekend highlights in Ostprignitz-Ruppin: concerts, festivals and culture!

The coming days in Ostprignitz-Ruppin promise a colorful program full of events and cultural highlights. No matter whether you have a passion for music or are interested in the history of the region - there is something for every taste. The outlook for the weekend from July 4th to 6th offers numerous opportunities to spend your free time sensibly.

On Friday, July 4th, the day in Freyenstein starts with the summer exhibition in the Doll Museum, where the exhibition “Surf & Sun – The Bears on Summer Vacation” can be viewed from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The weekly market in Kyritz on the market square tempts you with fresh regional products from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are two events in Lindow: a weekly market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a lecture about the Lebensbornheim Kurmark at 7 p.m. in the monastery. If you want to enjoy the culture in Neuruppin, you can visit the weekly market at Schulplatz from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or marvel at the impressive exhibition “Neuruppin: Home in Pictures” in the monastery church from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. After a mini-concert at 5 p.m. and a children's organ concert at 6 p.m., concerts in Neustadt and Rheinsberg cannot be missed - the “Maik and Friends” concert in Olaf's workshop and the opera gala in the castle courtyard, both at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, July 5th, has some highlights in store. “Naßler & Stellmäcke” is expected at the Bodoni-Vielseithof in Buskow at 7 p.m. In Fehrbellin, a family festival starts at 2 p.m. at the bowling alley, while in Königsberg the 20th anniversary of the village club will be celebrated from 2:30 p.m. Sports enthusiasts will get their money's worth in Kyritz, where the 50th anniversary of the Fortuna volleyball club will be celebrated from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Lindow city festival starts at 12 p.m. and there are several events scheduled in Neuruppin: from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. the weekly fresh market to the beach party at the Jahnbad at 7 p.m. and a concert with Sebastian Maihs in the Tempelgarten at 7:30 p.m. If you prefer a relaxed evening, you can look forward to the Summer Night Dance in Sewekow or the Dosse Festival in Teetz.

In Wittstock there is a fresh market on the market square on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. before the dance theater “Firebird” comes on stage at 7 p.m. In the evening you can look forward to a concert by Bet Williams in the Café Scheune in Wredenhagen, where entry costs 20 euros. The Zempower drive-in cinema shows the film “100 Things” at 10 p.m., doors open at 8 p.m.

Sunday full of musical delights

Sunday, July 6th, begins in Kyritz with a summer concert in St. Mary's Church at 5 p.m. Neuruppin is celebrating the 30th birthday of the Tempelgartenverein with free tours at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. as well as the opening of the anniversary exhibition “Snapshots – 160 Years of the Neuruppin Museum” from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Rheinsberg also has something to offer: the Vokal Ensemble Batumi will perform in the St. Laurentius Church at 4 p.m. In Vichel, a coffee & culture event in the castle invites you to relax and have fun.

For dance enthusiasts, there is the “Firebird” dance theater in Wittstock at 5 p.m. and in Wustrau there is the Museum Sunday at 11 a.m., which is free, as well as a lecture at 3 p.m. With these and many other events, the weekend in Ostprignitz-Ruppin promises to be a complete success.
