Creative competition for daycare centers: create Christmas greetings and win!

A very special creative competition is being launched in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district this Christmas season. District Administrator Marko Köhler called on the daycare centers in the district to show their artistic talents and create Christmas greetings in a unique way. For the first time, the district administrator's own Christmas greeting card will be created in a competition in which the little ones can submit their best ideas. As is well known, Christmas greetings are often associated with children's shining eyes and the excitement of opening presents - this is exactly the joy that the competition wants to reflect!

But what is expected of the children? The submissions are intended to symbolize community, warmth and cohesion, the values that are particularly popular at Christmas time. Awards await creative minds: The best three entries will be rewarded with financial recognition – 300 euros for first place, 200 euros for second and 100 euros for third place. In addition, the winning daycare center will receive a number of printed greeting cards for their own use. The deadline for submitting creative suggestions is October 30th – so get your craft supplies on!

Christmas in kindergarten: A feast for the senses

Christmas is a festival of joy and anticipation for children. Kindergarten teachers can use the increasing excitement to create exciting projects related to the festival. Whether crafting, baking or reading Christmas stories – the design options are diverse. It is crucial to teach children about the religious meaning of Christmas in a child-friendly way. Other cultural customs and values, such as sharing and compassion, should be incorporated, which can be excellently implemented in projects such as “Christmas in a Shoebox”. In this way, the little ones learn that not everyone gets presents at Christmas and develop empathy for those in need.

The run-up to Christmas is also ideal for making Christmas cards. Christmas cards that are age-appropriate and convey the meaning of Christmas sweeten the time until the big celebration for the children. Ideas for greetings could be wishes for a nice gift or the hope of a visit from Santa Claus. Christmas poems for children can also reinforce the special mood and make the little ones smile. Care must always be taken to ensure that the content is understandable and entertaining in order to promote anticipation of Christmas.

Creativity and community at the forefront

The creative competition is not only a great opportunity for the children to express themselves, but also promotes a sense of community. Making and designing greeting cards together can be a nice opportunity for daycare centers to let the children work together, which not only stimulates creativity but also promotes team spirit and social skills.

Overall, it can be said: Christmas not only offers an opportunity to celebrate, but also the opportunity to convey values such as solidarity, compassion and the joy of shared creativity. Let's be surprised at what impressive Christmas greetings the children will create this year. The anticipation for the creative results of the competition is already great!
