The young Alina Gnädig has taken a big step in her football career. Today, June 28, 2025, the talented midfielder signed her first professional contract with 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam. For the 17-year-old from Potsdam, this is a dream come true that she has had since her first visits to the stadium. Alina, who has played for Turbine since the U15 level, has worked her way up to the first women's team through hard work and exceptional talent, where she was already able to demonstrate her skills in the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga this season. She made her debut on March 8, 2025 against SC Freiburg.

Managing director Stephan Schmidt is pleased with Alina's development: "She is the third player from our youth team to make the jump to the first team." Alina herself is enthusiastic and ready to give everything for the team and the club. During one of her last training sessions, she said that the insight into the Bundesliga atmosphere and the support of her teammates were crucial in overcoming her nervousness. "It was an incredible feeling to play in the Bundesliga. Sometimes I can't believe it," she says proudly.

From youth to the Bundesliga

Her journey began ten years ago when Alina started playing football at SG Töplitz at the age of seven. Motivated by coach Bettina Stoof, the goal was quickly set: professional football. Over the years, Alina attended the Potsdam Sports School and went through the various youth teams at Turbine, always with the dream of one day playing in the upper house of German women's football. Now the time has come and their commitment has paid off.

After her first appearance in the Bundesliga, Alina not only dreams of relegation for Turbine, but also of personal development. “I want to learn a lot and continue to improve my game,” she says. Her style is physical and creative, making her a valuable player in the attacking midfield.
