Basic Education Conference in Potsdam: Discover new paths for literacy!
On Tuesday, October 7th, a regional specialist day on basic education will take place in the education forum at the Potsdam Adult Education Center. Under the title “Perspectives for Basic Education – Between Everyday Life and Analysis” various lectures and workshops are offered that deal with important aspects of basic education. This event is aimed at educational specialists, course leaders as well as decision-makers and those interested in this topic. Participation in this specialist day is free of charge and registration is required by October 3rd. This can be done via the website gbz.potsdam.de take place. If you have any questions, Franziska Tempel is available at the email address gbz@rathaus.potsdam.de or the telephone number 0331 289 4574.
The day will be particularly exciting because of the various topics that the experts will take up. Iris Pamp from the BTU Cottbus will talk about “shame in pedagogy”. The event will be rounded off by Renata Shamsutdinova, who will address the question of how “(multi)languages can be used as a resource for basic education”. In addition, Annegret Martin, also from the BTU Cottbus, will present a topic on “written language in metaphors”. Another interesting point is the lecture by Dr. Jana Arbeiter from the University of Cologne, who deals with the “drop-out in literacy and basic education”.
Specialist events to strengthen basic education
However, the commitment to basic education does not end with this specialist day. According to the website of grundbildung-berlin.de The Competence Center for Literacy and Basic Education in Berlin organizes several specialist events every year. These aim to strengthen the basic education landscape in Berlin and offer numerous training formats for course instructors. A highlight is the Berlin-wide specialist day for literacy and basic education, which invites numerous partners and representatives.
Monthly exchange and networking opportunities are also offered for active course leaders. These meetings enable the exchange of experiences and technical discussions as well as the deepening of important topics. The meetings have established themselves as a valuable space for networking and take place at the Stiftung Grundbildung Berlin at Paretzer Str. 1.
These initiatives promote cooperation among those involved and open up paths for sustainable solutions in literacy work. Particular attention is paid to accessibility and participation so that everyone can be given the opportunity to benefit from educational offerings.
The specialist day in Potsdam and the events offered around the topic of basic education are more than just a meeting - they are an important foundation for the future development of the educational landscape in Germany.
