Potsdam introduces admission to Sanssouci Park – What you need to know!

The Sanssouci Park in Potsdam is facing a fundamental change. How Deutschlandfunk culture reports, the city of Potsdam plans to end its financial support for the park's maintenance by the end of 2023. The city council should approve a corresponding resolution at the beginning of July 2023. This would save the city 800,000 euros in its budget annually. The agreement with the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation has already been reached, so that admission to the park could become a reality by April 2026 at the latest, provided the board of trustees also agrees.

Interested visitors can look forward to planned entry prices. In the future, single tickets will be offered for three euros and annual tickets for 20 euros. This makes visiting the historic park affordable and attractive for both residents and tourists.
