On Saturday, August 16, 2025, the Luftschiffhafen stadium in Potsdam was the scene of an exciting German Football League game between the ifm Razorbacks Ravensburg and the Potsdam Royals. The Ravensburgers started the game strongly and took a 7:6 lead in the first quarter thanks to a touchdown from their quarterback Broghean McGovern. Unfortunately, the subsequent 2-point conversion failed. But the joy of the early lead didn't last long.
In the second quarter, the Potsdam Royals quickly found their rhythm and mercilessly exploited the weaknesses in Ravensburg's defense. Touchscreens from Xeaiver Bullock and Heiko Bals made the halftime score 32:7 in favor of the Royals. The Ravensburgers were visibly challenged and found it difficult to hold their own against the pressure of their opponents.
A ray of hope for the Ravensburgers
Ravensburg's department head Frank Kienzle was proud of his team despite the defeat. The team was without some key players such as Anthony Harris Jr. and Aniel Buße, who were replaced by Simon Mayr and Moritz Bredel.
