Teltow Canal Half Marathon returns: register by November 30th!

On December 7, 2025, the Teltow Canal Half Marathon will be staged again, an event that attracts sports enthusiasts from across the region. SC Potsdam takes over as the new organizer and continues this tradition, which has been paused since 2023. “We are proud to revive the event and continue the spirit of the VSG Kiebitz,” explains Philipp Wilhelm from SC Potsdam in an interview. The good news brings a breath of fresh air to the running scene after the half marathon took a well-deserved break, reports SC Potsdam.

The decision to schedule the half marathon on December 7th was made due to increased safety requirements. Participants can look forward to different route lengths: little runners can look forward to the kids run, while adults can choose the options of 7, 14 and 21 kilometers as well as relays. The varied route runs along the Teltow Canal and leads on both the left and right bank to the starting point at the Knesebeck Bridge in Teltow. Features such as proximity to water and idyllic forest sections make the run particularly attractive.

Program items for the half marathon

The supporting program includes a sports fair with stands from partners and sponsors who offer participants and spectators additional information and products. Physical well-being will also be taken care of and there will be a celebratory award ceremony after the race. Around 750 runners have already registered, which is a positive sign of interest in the event. The registration deadline is set for November 30th, so get in quick!

The organizers are basing their implementation on tried and tested processes from previous years and are pleased about the trust of the runners. It remains exciting to see how the event will develop and whether a new record number of participants can be set. A year without the Teltow Canal Half Marathon just doesn't feel right, and its return is eagerly awaited by the community. So nothing stands in the way of a sporty December!
