The opening will take place on Wednesday at 2 p.m. by Mayor Ronald Thiel. This time, visitors can expect a very special program that will delight not only adults, but especially children. The opening times are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, while on Friday and Saturday it is until 9 p.m. The big final concert will take place in St. Nikolai Church on Sunday at 10 a.m. - but there will be no market activity there. The Christmas market has established itself as a real highlight that attracts young and old into the outdoors!

A colorful supporting program for the whole family

The children's activities are an absolute must, including a children's railway and a carousel where the little guests can happily do their rounds. A special highlight is the Christmas room, where Santa Claus waits for the children. Walk acts, who delight with figures and light displays, also make your eyes light up.

On Thursday, the stage program will be enriched by the Rainbow House after-school group and the Millipede daycare center. The children will show dance, theater and music – it will definitely be a complete success! It continues on Friday with hunting horn sounds and Irish folk, followed by incredible children's performances. Finally, dances and even acrobatics on the wooden horse can be expected on Saturday. The cutting of the large Christmas stollen at 3 p.m. is also a highlight that no one should miss! The afternoon will be rounded off with performances by the Prignitz trombone choirs in the church and in the evening there will be a fire show followed by a happy dance on the market square.

Culinary delicacies and contemplative exhibitions

Of course, the gourmets among the visitors are not left out either. The market offers bratwursts, mulled wine, pastries and sweet treats - the smell of cinnamon and roasted almonds perfectly rounds off the pre-Christmas atmosphere. There will also be a nativity scene exhibition in St. Nikolai Church from Wednesday to Saturday, daily from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., which creates a contemplative atmosphere.

And for all those who want to enjoy the contemplative atmosphere at the end of the week, Advent music in candlelight will take place on December 14th from 10 a.m. A nice end to this festive cycle of events.
